Terms of Use

These Terms explain how you may use UsePDF.io and the PDF, document conversion, editing, and viewing tools available on the site.

Last updated: April 11, 2026

Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using UsePDF.io, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You are responsible for making sure that your use of the service is lawful in your jurisdiction and appropriate for the documents you upload or create.

Service overview

UsePDF.io provides browser-based tools for common PDF work, including conversion, compression, editing, organizing, OCR-related workflows, document viewing, and export features.

Some tools may run in your browser, while others may use temporary server-side processing or third-party infrastructure to complete file conversion, rendering, or extraction tasks.

Your files and rights

You keep ownership of the files, text, images, and other content you upload or create. You grant UsePDF.io the limited permission needed to process, preview, convert, edit, export, and deliver the output you request.

You must only upload files that you own, are authorized to process, or are otherwise legally allowed to use with the service.

Temporary processing and downloads

Uploaded and generated files may be processed in temporary workspaces. Depending on the tool, processing may happen locally in the browser or on a server-side conversion pipeline.

You are responsible for downloading and verifying your output files. We may remove temporary or generated files after processing is complete or after a short operational retention period.

Prohibited use

You may not use UsePDF.io to upload, process, distribute, or generate unlawful, harmful, infringing, abusive, malicious, or deceptive content.

You may not attempt to attack, overload, reverse engineer, bypass security controls, scrape at scale, or interfere with the reliability of the service.

Document accuracy and legal workflows

UsePDF.io is a document utility platform, not a law firm, legal advisor, or official filing system. Outputs should be reviewed before use in court, public administration, business, tax, financial, or other high-stakes workflows.

Conversion, OCR, PDF editing, UDF viewing, and format reconstruction can involve technical limitations. You are responsible for checking layout, text, pagination, signatures, metadata, and formatting before relying on an exported document.

Third-party tools and infrastructure

Some functionality may depend on open-source libraries, browser APIs, hosting providers, storage providers, conversion engines, OCR tools, or other third-party infrastructure.

Third-party components may have their own terms, licenses, limits, and availability conditions. We try to use them responsibly, but we do not control every third-party dependency.

Availability and changes

We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We may also introduce limits, maintenance windows, or feature changes to protect reliability and security.

We may update these Terms when the service, legal requirements, or operational practices change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that every file will convert perfectly, that every edit will preserve every original feature, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, UsePDF.io disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of generated or converted output.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, UsePDF.io will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost documents, or business interruption.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the amount permitted by applicable law.
